This detailed video is a course for the serious owner/trainer in hands-on emergency medicine for horses. You learn to care for wounds and other injuries as well as to diagnose and treat acute conditions that occur in all major organ systems. The presenters explain all procedures with clear, step-by-step demonstrations and after each lesson the screen has all the same information written so that you can write down the entire procedure. You are also given specific indications and doses for the drugs and medications that are recommended. Another helpful section is one that explains the grave signs and symptoms to look for when surgery or other intervention by a vet is needed. The video is made very well with clear descriptions and very helpful information but moves very slowly through each diagnosis and may be too repetitive for some people. 2 volumes 1998
